About Erica Ann Photography and Fine Art
Welcome! As you can guess, my name is Erica and I love taking pictures. What sets me apart from other Portland wedding photographers is my photojournalistic approach and custom artwork. I just could't live without my camera and it is certainly the first tool that I go for in my art box arsenal. Capturing the lights and colors on my digital sensor is great, but what's after that? How do I get those bunch of pixels to you in a way that is meaningful?
The Process of a Wedding Photographer
Each wedding photographer has their own unique take on the art. Mine involves far more than just taking great pictures. It starts when we meet for the first time. And my goal as a wedding photographer is for the fine art to never fade away.
The Meeting is Where We Get to Know Each Other
When we first meet you should try to determine two things. Do you like me? And do you like my product? We can meet wherever you'd like to discuss your wedding. A coffee shop, a park, a bar - wherever you feel most comfortable - there are so many places in Portland to meet with a wedding photographer. In order for you to experience the real end product I will bring you some of my past custom wedding albums and canvas artwork.
The Engagement Session, Get the Giggles Out
The engagement photo shoot is probably where we get to know each other the best. It's just us three having fun and getting some great pictures. The engagement photography works great for a guest album. You'll have the album on your wedding day for your guests to peruse and write notes for you and your spouse to giggle over later.
A Great Portland Wedding Photographer Hits the Ground Running
Here is where I really come alive! I have a knack for sneaking around for all those awesome candid shots or your friends and family, pets and plants - but I'm always there for your most precious moments.
Fine Art Wedding Photography Lasts a Lifetime
After everything is said and done and you're back from your awesome honeymoon, get ready for the pictures!!! The custom albums are amazing. You can choose from a variety of sizes and three different styles. And if you have an eye for art, your favorite wedding shot may find its way to a canvas print where it will hang on your wall for years to come. I don't want to just send you a DVD of your jpegs and say, "Ok, have a nice life!"
I want to create something tangible that you can hang on your wall or flip through anytime you want to be reminded of the special times in your life. I create custom flush mount and coffee table albums, canvas gallery wraps and even original acrylic and watercolor paintings. Nikon is my first love (don't tell Jeff) but I also thrive on the more primal mediums of paint and charcoal. Check out the gallery to see how I take my work beyond the digital capture of light and color.
Wedding packages start at $2995. Visit the pricing page for more detailed wedding photography pricing options. Feel free to also peruse my portraiture photography packages.
I graduated with a B.A. in Studio Arts from George Fox University. I currently live in Newberg, Oregon, and am happily married to Jeff. Together we have a cross-eyed cat named Charlie and three beautiful ball pythons: Ruby, Jasmine and Virgil. I love being a Portland Wedding Photographer!
