Wow, there was so much going on with this wedding I don’t even know where to start! Johnna’s family owns an auction house, which has played a huge part in her life and in her and Scott’s wedding. The 10 foot rooster greeting you on your way to the reception has been in her family for 3 generations! And nearly every other part of the wedding, from the plates and chairs to the fiberglass cow and other reception decor was gathered from auctions, second hand and antique stores.

Alison and Brad had a beautiful wedding celebration at The World Forestry Center with their family and friends. I love the Forestry Center because there is such a huge variety of beautiful natural scenery within walking distance. (Go figure) We had some time before the wedding for Alison and Brad to see each other for the first time. (We wedding photographers call this the “First Look” just in case you were wondering) But that’s always my favorite part. If I’m lucky, the guy will even cry a little. Its awesome.
I love getting a little bit more artsy with my wedding and engagement photos. I bring watercolor and acrylic paint into my photography because there is value in one of a kind artwork that you just can’t reproduce in photoshop. I put the finishing touches on these two canvases yesterday. Can’t wait to see the reactions when I deliver them!
