Austin and Erik got married in August, just before the fires made the whole area inaccessible. They even had an eerie smoky sunset that cast an orange hue over everything at the end of the night. I’m so glad their special day wasn’t ruined!
I loved the deep maroon antique vibe throughout the wedding. Everything was just so classy and looked amazing with Austin’s gorgeous red hair! They even had Something Borrowed bring in antique love seats and chairs set up in two vignettes at the reception – one next to the lake and another overlooking the view of the gorge.
But the best part was actually the toasts. And that’s not something I’ve ever said about a wedding. This one was extra special though. The love and support that each person felt for the bride and groom was indescribable. And it was no wonder, Erik gave a speech at the end praising his beautiful bride and individually thanking nearly every guest for the impact they had on their lives. I was even tearing up! I’m so incredibly happy for these two and I know they will have many, many years of joy together!
Also, big thanks to Kim O’Neil for being my trusty second!
