I finally did it! I have my own studio! Oh my gosh, its so nice to have my own space again. We converted our garage into my perfect space. I have a huge glass garage door for all the natural light I need, grungy concrete floors and beautiful white, black and gray walls! I also have a meeting space for you to see all of your beautiful images on a 10 foot screen!!
Um, wow. This gorgeous woman was so much fun getting to know and photograph boudoir. She came to me wanting to make a special gift for her husband’s birthday. So she kept the whole thing a secret (some husbands are easier to trick than others). We planned out all of her outfits and she showed up a little bit nervous, but totally ready to go!
I am absolutely and totally in love with her gold sequin dress! Seriously guys, check out that stunning dress! This shoot was done at my new studio in Portland. I love having that rich black wall and the big gorgeous window. Her makeup and hair was done by the very talented Mariam with Couture Artistry.
to preach to myself and all of the other moms out there, there is hope! After your body has gone through all of that craziness, its easy to feel like you kind of lose yourself to your new role as “mom.” But we’re still in there ladies! Doing a boudoir shoot and taking a break to get all dolled up is such a great reminder that you’re still in there and stronger than ever!
But seriously ladies, don’t you think your guy deserves to see you looking this hot? This bride-to-be made a beautiful album for her lucky groom. I’m positive he already knew how beautiful she was, but now she definitely knows it too. I just loved getting to do her photos because she was so quick to open up and be her true self. I don’t care about perfect curves or flat tummies, just be open and willing to be a little vulnerable and I will get the best photos you’ve ever seen!
Well, we can’t spend an hour on our hair and makeup every day… but maybe every now and then its a good reminder that you don’t have to be a movie star to feel like one!
