I’ll never get tired of all of the beautiful bridges in Portland, but St. John’s Bridge is extra special. Amanda and Bob chose Cathedral Park to tie the knot on a beautiful Friday in June – Friday the 13th event! June can be a risky time to get married outdoors in Portland, but these two just went all in and chose Friday the 13th for extra good luck! Oh, and did I mention that it was a full moon? Yah, it was a a full moon, a full honeymoon even. (I don’t know what that is, maybe the moon was kind of orange?)
Anyway, whether you believe in luck, fate, good joojoo or none of the above, it was a perfect Portland day for a wedding! Amanda was of course a gorgeous bride, and Bob was as handsome and smiley as ever. I always like a groom with a big smile! There was a little breeze to kick up Amanda’s veil every now and then, a slight cloud cover, but a little sun peeking through every now and then.
Their wedding under the bridge was simple and beautiful. The most important thing for these two was that they got to celebrate their wedding day with their closest family and friends. Their color theme was plum and yellow with just the perfect amount of bling. (Seriously, check out those shoes)
Huge thank you Amanda and Bob for making me a part of your beautiful day, and also to Kim O’Neil, my trusty second photographer!
