Wow, I seriously cannot get enough of the Gorge lately! Laura and Jesse spent a lot of time out here in the Gorge growing up and its a really special place to Laura’s family. They’re getting married on the Washington side of the Gorge in October at a place called Cape Horn Estate. I can’t wait! I know it will be absolutely overflowing with amazing florals because guess what? Laura is the daughter of the owners of Gifford’s Flowers downtown! (Or maybe she is a part owner – I’m not sure?) Anyway, they know flowers, they love flowers and I know they will get super creative for this wedding!

We drove out to the Vista House in Crown Point and stopped at a few outlooks along the way. I should probably look up some history about this place because its pretty weird just up there overlooking everything all by itself…..(Ok I did some research) Wow, this place was built in 1918! In four years the Vista House will have its centennial birthday!

Back to the engagement shoot – Laura and Jesse worked on coordinating the blowing and catching of air kisses. That was fun. I wish I knew how to make gifs, because there were about 20 shots of that happening.  😉  We also visited the old highway and hung around some cool rock walls and an old scary tunnel. Good times were had by all and then we drank some beer!

Oh yah, and do you see that crazy sun coming through the clouds business? I’ve never seen rays coming through that aggressively. So I’ve got a special shot for you at the end. I had to stand on a railing to get this shot. It was not safe. But you’re worth it.  😉
