Wow, there was so much going on with this wedding I don’t even know where to start! Johnna’s family owns an auction house, which has played a huge part in her life and in her and Scott’s wedding. The 10 foot rooster greeting you on your way to the reception has been in her family for 3 generations! And nearly every other part of the wedding, from the plates and chairs to the fiberglass cow and other reception decor was gathered from auctions, second hand and antique stores.
There was even a live auction at the reception for the chance to have the first dances with Johnna and Scott. They raised $1700 for charity!
Some other fun details include horses behind their ceremony, catering by the Honey Pot Bakery Van, The Retrolicious Comfort Food Trailer and the Wine a Bago. For the cocktail hour entertainment they had the Ukeladies singing and strumming their sweet tunes on the steps. Oh, and make sure you don’t miss Scott’s “hand-written” wedding vows!
This was a beautiful little wedding with all of the family and country charm you could imagine! Thank you so much, Johnna and Scott for having me come and hang out with your awesome selves all day!
And special thanks to Kaia for assisting me!
