Bridal Veil Lakes Wedding Sunset

I loved the deep maroon antique vibe throughout the wedding. Everything was just so classy and looked amazing with Austin’s gorgeous red hair! They even had Something Borrowed bring in antique love seats and chairs set up in two vignettes at the reception – one next to the lake and another overlooking the view of the gorge.

Coucil Crest Engagement

Oh my gosh, I had so much fun with these two during their engagement session! Laura and Joel were just ridiculous and goofy, having a good time together. I love getting to photograph couples who just like being together. It seems kinda obvious, but… not always the case.

We started hanging out around the park blocks by the art museum downtown. Laura surprised me by playing a gorgeous piece on the open air piano outside the art museum. Around dusk we got a little bit more serious and found some gorgeous spots by the Schnitzer Concert Hall and then headed over to Council Crest just in time to catch a gorgeous pastel sunset!

Hug Point Oregon Coast Engagement Sunset

We traveled together to Hug Point to do a little hiking and enjoy the stunning sunset. The Oregon coast can be somewhat of an enigma – at least to me.

Wilmes Hop Farms Wedding

This was a beautiful wedding, but more importantly everyone had a AMAZING time – including the bride and groom! From the moment I met these two, Amanda and John have been nothing but unapologetically themselves. They didn’t have to worry about what anyone else thought of them because they surround themselves with people who know them and love them. I was so delighted to get to photograph this special and gorgeous wedding!

Creative Portland Engagement Photographers

I found out that somebody has a habit of sneaking into the soaking pool at Edgefield… I won’t say who, but it gave me the idea to do our whole shoot there and then end in the soaking pool with the entire family. I love it because its so personal and perfect for these two. They live just a couple of miles from Edgefield and spend a lot of time hanging out there with their kids.

Laura’s grandpa started Gifford’s Flower Shop in 1938 in downtown Portland, just a few blocks from my studio! Her dad put up their gorgeous hop altar arrangement that was full of beautiful local blooms. They also used plenty of moss and ferns for that authentic NW feel.
