Today I have for your viewing pleasure all of my best bride and groom portraits. A lot of couples ask questions like, “What is your photography style?” or “We don’t want any posed shots, you won’t make us pose, right?” or my favorite “Will you tell us what to do on the wedding day? We’re horrible in front of the camera!”
Also, check out those flowers. Oh my gosh! Anna hired her friend who is an amazing florist, Sweet Nellie’s Flowers and just let her go crazy! She must have used at least 50 different kinds of flowers and the reception looked absolutely perfect! My good friend Dee Richardson, owner of Diva Matters Ministry officiated and did a wonderful job making their ceremony personalized just for them! Michael of John Ross Music sang and played beautifully during the ceremony and reception. (Seriously, he sounds like Jack Johnson) And then of course the dinner and h’orderves were catered by Rogue Gormet, located in Newberg.
we walked along the boardwalk of the Columbia river in Vancouver. The sun was just starting to set so we got that beautiful warm light everywhere. I love the color pallet of this whole engagement shoot! The purples and oranges are so good together.
Wow, I seriously cannot get enough of the Gorge lately! Laura and Jesse spent a lot of time out here in the Gorge growing up and its a really special place to Laura’s family. They’re getting married on the Washington side of the Gorge in October at a place called Cape Horn Estate. I can’t wait! I know it will be absolutely overflowing with amazing florals because guess what? Laura is the daughter of the owners of Gifford’s Flowers downtown! (Or maybe she is a part owner – I’m not sure?) Anyway, they know flowers, they love flowers and I know they will get super creative for this wedding!
Um… wow! Words cannot describe how amazing this wedding was at Broken Top Club in Bend! And I’m not just talking about how pretty all of the details were, or how lovely all of the bridesmaids looked (but as you can see, they were indeed lovely). This wedding just had an extra dose of special. Amanda and Michael were completely surrounded in the joy and love of their family and friends in Jesus.
For Kasie and Marc’s engagement, we strolled around Mt. Tabor Park. Its a special place they really enjoy together. I asked Marc how long they had been dating. (I like to be nosy) He said they’ve been together for less than a year, “But when you know, you know!” Yes! I definitely agree. I’m a really big advocate for tying the knot as soon as you both know you’ve found the right one. (after you know, you plan the wedding and stuff)
