I was very excited today to find out that one of my images was awarded an honorable mention in Junebug’s “Best of the Best” Engagement Contest! They chose this image as one of the most romantic and intimate engagement images.
This was from a really fun engagement session last autumn. The couple brought lanterns and had a picnic that went into the night! See the rest of their romantic Portland Engagement Session!
I finally convinced my good friend Alicia to let me photograph her in my new Portland boudoir studio. I’m on a mission now to photograph all the women who really need convincing and don’t think they’re camera ready. Seriously, I’m so sad when I hear excuses from women who want to focus on one or two little flaws instead of seeing how beautiful they really are. Ladies – now is the time, please don’t wait until you’re “perfect.” None of us are perfect and we shouldn’t have to be!

Wowza! I’m SO glad I got for photograph this sleek beauty! We did her boudoir photoshoot just about a week before she competed in the Emerald Cup. She placed third in the Bikini competition! We had so much fun with her shoot. I absolutely loving doing glam photoshoots with athletes – its really awesome be able to see that softer romantic side come out.

I can’t wait to have this album printed and in the hands of Iván and Mac. I love designing each couple’s wedding album to tell their story. Its almost my favorite part of being a wedding photographer.

Portland Engagement Session in the Rain
I am so excited to photograph Caleb and Sophie’s wedding this fall! We had a nice relaxing stroll through Washington Park for their engagement session… followed by what turned out to be some very romantic rainfall coming in from the west. (I made that part up, I have no idea which way the rain come from… well, it came from the sky)

Wow!!! Awesome!!! I would like to give a title to Caleb and Sophie “THE MOST ROMANTIC COUPLE” as I could feel their love in each and every snap. Not only the pair but also the Washington park and its pleasant weather looks romantic….Keep sharing
Seriously. Mac and Iván’s wedding preparation consisted of multiple tequila toasts and of course hugs galore! They tied the knot in the wonderfully stark Blue Sky Gallery. Then we all took a leisurely PDX Pedicab ride around the block and to their wedding reception at Bridgeport Brew… where there was a Mariachi Band!! I learned something new about Mariachi music too – it doesn’t work if you don’t have awesome guests who join in with the Latin flavor.
