I received a very interesting call a couple of weeks ago as I was heading to Tacoma to photograph the birth of my new baby sister. Kim of Geranium Lake Flowers had just received a call from the Today Show asking if she’d like to do a DIY floral how-to for their Valentine’s show. The catch: send in professional pictures of your arrangements in the next 24 hours. (Or else) I had met Kim a couple of weeks earlier at the Art of Weddings bridal show. She still had my card and remembered that I was interested in photo collaboration and inspiration shoots. I said, “Of course, I would love to help you with this!” So… the baby was born (healthy and beautiful) I drove back home late that night and early the next morning went over to Kim’s beautiful home in SE Portland to capture her creations. Kimberly of Billede Design was there to help with all of the photo styling. I’d say we made a pretty good team. Kim got the call from her publicist that the Today Show liked our images and she appeared on the show this morning! Huge congratulations to Kim and I wish you all the best. Go big or go home right?
