Ok, I seriously had way too much fun with this engagement session! It was such a great photoshoot!
I love seeing how helpful my new engagement questionnaires have been. Recently, I’ve started sending out questionnaires to each of my couples before their engagement session. It asks lots of super deep and dark personal questions… ok, just kidding. They’re only semi-personal and definitely not dark. The idea behind the questionnaire is to find out what each person sees and loves about the other and help us all brainstorm fun things to do or places to go for their engagement session.
For instance, I found out that somebody has a habit of sneaking into the soaking pool at Edgefield… I won’t say who, but it gave me the idea to do our whole shoot there and then end in the soaking pool with the entire family. I love it because its so personal and perfect for these two. They live just a couple of miles from Edgefield and spend a lot of time hanging out there with their kids.
A lot of times I’ll get a question like, “Where are your favorite spots to do engagement sessions?” Honestly, I can shoot anywhere and I love discovering new places. The Northwest is full of gorgeous locations. So I throw it back to the couples. I want to know where you went on your first date, or where you like to hang out together or even where you have always wanted to go but never had enough of a reason to go!
I’d much rather make your photoshoot focused on great memories rather than just pretty scenery.
Enjoy!
