What do you do when one of your favorite wedding florists comes to you and says, “Hey, I want to do a bridal inspiration shoot with you and we have this white stallion we can use…” If you’re me, you just cut her off right there with a resounding “Yes ma’am, I’ll be there!” Anyway, that’s what happened when Lora, owner of Sophisticated Floral Designs, approached me to do a last minute fun photoshoot with gorgeous pink and marsala blooms. (Normally I might call the flowers red or maroon, but you know, pantone color of the year and all)

We approached the beautiful Amy Brittell to see if she would model for us and as a bonus she is one of the owners of Velour, a vintage clothing store in Newberg. She brought along two gorgeous wedding dresses and some of her handmade head pieces for the shoot!

Lora’s floral crown was stunning of course, but even more impressive was the beautiful floral necklace she made for our handsome white stallion! The shoot started taking on a princess bride feeling which we loved! But I also loved working with Amy because with her nose ring and asymmetrical hair, we still kept the style very Portland!

Ok, I just realized that I used exclamation points in the last three sentences – for that I apologize. That’s just how I feel about these photos. I hope you enjoy!
