Portland Engagement Session in the Rain
I am so excited to photograph Caleb and Sophie’s wedding this fall! We had a nice relaxing stroll through Washington Park for their engagement session… followed by what turned out to be some very romantic rainfall coming in from the west. (I made that part up, I have no idea which way the rain come from… well, it came from the sky)
Meuy and Nai love that ethereal magic that happens when the fog rolls in and everything goes quiet. The only bummer about fog is that its really hard to catch. Rain, on other hand, isn’t quite as much of a challenge. So we settled for a snuggly rainy day photoshoot. We had just enough rain to have that beautiful diffused light but not quite enough to ruin all of my camera gear. So we were a go.
Who says you can’t go out and have a little fun in the rain? Not these two! This is just one image from Meuy and Nai’s rainy day engagement session. Meuy loves that foggy soft rainy day look, and we got it! More to come soon.
Congratulations John and Colby! They tied the knot on the roof of the Ecotrust on a beautiful Portland summer afternoon. (Yes, it was raining, but only a little) The gorgeous flowers were created by Floral Design by Alica. Oh, and check out that floral hair piece she made! The awesome mountaintop cake was by Bakery Bar – a nice surprise from Colby for John! Thank you so much you two for having me be a part of your big day and for letting me take you out again for more pictures on a less “Portlandy” day.
