It was a perfect backdrop for all of their gorgeous details. I loved Brittany’s wedding dress blowing in the wind, the guys with their cocktails on the balcony, and of course their first look on the gangway.

After the ceremony we went down to the beach and took a stroll under the pier. The concrete pillars made for some pretty sweet visuals. And then they entered the reception through a sword arch, it was pretty awesome. After some hilarious speeches and hardcore party rocking they exited through sparklers on the beach and Aaron was tossed into the sea!
This was a beautiful wedding, but more importantly everyone had a AMAZING time – including the bride and groom! From the moment I met these two, Amanda and John have been nothing but unapologetically themselves. They didn’t have to worry about what anyone else thought of them because they surround themselves with people who know them and love them. I was so delighted to get to photograph this special and gorgeous wedding!
Check out that venue – The Colony at St John’s is a new up and coming wedding venue that offers everything you would need for a great spot to party. The outdoor patio is huge and mostly private – this is where Stephanie and Alden hosted their cocktail hour and dinner under a tent decorated by Nick of Dragonfly Designs and of course the beautiful Rosemary Stafford Floral Design.
Jeff and Joan had a small wedding ceremony in the round. It was pretty sweet, and extremely unique. For instance, have you ever been to a wedding where the officiant whips out his ipad to take a shot of the bride and groom? No? Me neither. I’ve seen plenty of guests with ipads, but never the officiant. Are unity candles pase? Apparently so. To really seal the deal, he had them log into facebook to update their relationship statuses. That is the true mark of a good officiant. He makes it official.
