Now that spring is here, I thought it would be the perfect time to share this beautiful autumnal wedding with you! Remember all those pumpkin spice lattes and the smell of freshly dying leaves we all love in those fall months? Mmm… just thinking about it is making me excited for Christmas shopping again! And why don’t we have another Thanksgiving in the spring? Oh, that’s probably Easter, huh?
Ok, I’m just kidding. I know we’re all gearing up for summer and a beautiful pumpkin orange wedding isn’t super timely. But… I got lazy with the blog posting. (But don’t worry, Sheila and Luke had their photos as soon as they got home from their Hawaii honeymoon.) This wedding was just too much fun for me to keep to myself any longer!
Sheila and Luke exchanged vows in the beautiful sunlit Holy Trinity Catholic church in Beaverton. Sheila wore an adorable vintage dress altered to be tea length and Luke was his dapper self in a tux and bow tie! After their morning ceremony, the bridal party piled into a limo (from https://ultimatetowncar.com/orlando-airport-transportation.php) for a fun 4 hour wedding day excursion in downtown Portland.
What is a wedding day excursion you ask? Well, in this case it involved a stop at the liquor store for supplies, a quick cocktail at Veritable Quandry (where the bride and groom had their first date), shenanigans on the waterfront (like, serious larp shenanigans) and some serenading by Sheila’s cousin in their presidential suite at the Benson hotel! If you’re gonna have a baby grand piano in your wedding night hotel room, you better use it! Also – my favorite – tears of joy!
Then it was back to the rest of the party with dinner and dancing at the Walter’s Cultural Arts Center in Hillsboro.
Congratulations you two, your wedding was a perfect celebration!
