Erica Ann Photography's mixed media gives you the opportunity to commission one of a kind artwork from your favorite photographs. You can choose to create encaustic, watercolor and acrylic pieces.
Encaustic paintings use a medium of beeswax and resin. First, your print is made on fine art paper and adhered to a wooden cradle board. Next, several layers of wax, oil pastels and other materials are fused together to create a completely unique piece with incredible depth.
Several elements of your image are hand-painted straight onto watercolor paper. These pieces are then photographed and digitally layered onto your favorite image. The piece is finished when it's printed on canvas or fine art paper.
Your image is first printed onto a gallery wrapped canvas. Then acrylic paint is carefully added by hand to various parts of the canvas to tastefully complement the emotion of your photograph. This method adds an intricate depth of texture by highlighting subtle details within the image.
