So... are you ready for some amazeballs, over the top, gorgeous wedding eye candy? If not, take a few deep breaths, that ought to make you feel more prepared. Alden and Stephanie are absolutely adorably in love. They also both happen to have wonderfully sophisticated taste - which are really the only ingredients I could ever ask for of my couples. (Not that great taste is necessary, just helpful) They also know some pretty awesome local Portland wedding vendors that helped make their wedding extra special and personal.
First of all, check out this venue - The Colony at St John's is a new up and coming wedding venue that offers everything you would need for a great spot to party. The outdoor patio is huge and mostly private - this is where Stephanie and Alden hosted their cocktail hour and dinner under a tent decorated by Nick of Dragonfly Designs and of course the beautiful Rosemary Stafford Floral Design. The Colony also has a large ballroom - this is where the ceremony took place and also where the new Mr. and Mrs. shared their first dance and cake cutting. The smaller ballroom was perfect for louder music and more dancing along with the garter and bouquet toss.
Oh! And don't forget about all of pre-wedding preparation! They also have several rooms on the second floor for bridal party use. It's just an awesome, eclectic place.
Then, there's the location. We were just minutes from Cathedral Park where we drove after the wedding for bridal party pictures and a romantic, sunset wedding stroll with just the bride and groom.
All of their beautiful wedding signage was made by Lisa, owner of Dressing Vintage and their mint colored and gold flecked cake was made by her talented daughter, Kirsten. Bri of Portland Makeup & Hair made sure Stephanie looked her best and thank you to Chippy for being my awesome second!
p.s. Make sure you check out the awesome sparkler wedding exit at the end - it was featured in Oregon Bride Magazine!
It was a pretty windy day for a Central Oregon wedding. Wind + Veil = Happy Photographer.
Sun streamed into the garden and lit her up like an angel at the Historic Deepwood Estate.
Christina holds our record for the most wardrobe changes with four different gowns in one day!
The groom wanted to lay his eyes on his bride for the first time as she made her way down the aisle. And she was stunning!
Erika and Marty dreamed of a gorgeous wedding worthy of publication. YU Contemporary was the perfect backdrop.

"We'll start your bathroom boudoir shoot with makeup by one of my wonderfully talented makeup artists, along with some bubbly of course. And then you'll do a hot luxurious bubble bath where you can finish up your champagne and I'll guide you through some sensuous poses. For the bathtub I recommend a nude bra and panty. "
