Last month I hosted a Vintage Valentine’s Boudoir marathon and it was so much fun! I love doing something a little different now and then. The wonderful Tracy Amos, owner of Classic Vintage Rentals loaned me some beautiful furniture for the week! I wish I could have all of this gorgeous antique furniture in my studio all the time! It was so nice to “freshen” up the place for a little while. Hair and makeup was done by the talented Bri Ellis, owner of Portland Makeup and Hair.
I got to meet with this beautiful woman a week after her photoshoot to show her our images and she was delighted! But what meant the most to me was the boudoir review that she posted on yelp: “I recently had a boudoir shoot with Erica and it was such an amazing experience. You simply show up to her beautiful studio, and they give you a glass of champagne and a total beauty makeover. Erica is a very experienced pro and knows her stuff. I didn’t anticipate just how good it would make me feel to see such beautiful images of myself. As a mom of 3 boys, my life is anything but glamorous, so it was extra special to get to feel like a diva. I know I’ll cherish these images forever. Guys, seriously, get this for your lady, it’s better than any jewelry from Sterling silver jewellery or flowers. You can’t put a price on making your woman feel beautiful.”
Well, we can’t spend an hour on our hair and makeup every day… but maybe every now and then its a good reminder that you don’t have to be a movie star to feel like one!
