And of course, I absolutely agree! I am always so sad when I hear, “Ok, I just need to lose XX pounds and then I’ll be ready!” I believe that every woman has an intrinsic beauty and their own unique spark. That doesn’t go away or change with a few extra or less pounds. Ok, I’ll get off my soapbox now and let you enjoy photos of a gorgeous and confident woman!
This beautiful bride to be contacted me to help her make a very special gift for her groom. She warned me that she had done a boudoir photoshoot before and had only liked one image from the whole shoot! So of course I was a little nervous… But once we got started I knew we’d get some good ones. 🙂
With the help of my intern Kaia, I wanted to show you a little bit of behind the scenes action. While Julie Oliveros did her fabulous makeover, we talked about the outfits together and so I could decide how to arrange the furniture and what backdrops would look best in which outfits. Here is just a peak into some of my favorites and a few snapshots to show you how it was done!
I love when I get to photograph friends in my studio! These three women are friends and co-workers. We had such a fun morning drinking champagne and getting all fancied up. We went a little bit glamour with sequins, edgy with leather and boudoir with lace and lingerie. Each woman has their own style and unique beauty – I loved capturing it all!
I love how much variety we got into just an hour long photoshoot in my studio! We got some beautiful bridal portraits with her blusher veil – I love that she wasn’t all in white for those shots and kind of incorporated in some of her wedding colors. She also brought in a scandalous romance novel that her fiance has customized for her. (The names/nicknames and locations can be customized so you have a romance novel just for you!) And of course we had to go with a strong red lip to match her romantic red lingerie!
Umm…. so this one was a little shocking for me. This beautiful woman was given a makeover and photoshoot by her awesome mom for her 40th birthday! I should have asked to see her driver’s license because I feel like maybe they’re playing a practical joke on me? I would seriously think this woman was in her twenties if I had to guess. It must just be some clean living or just really great genes… or both!
