Teresa and Micah are seriously one of the most down to earth, fun loving couples I’ve ever gotten to photograph! They both grew up in Hawaii, in fact Micah is a few years younger and had quite a crush on Teresa when they were in high school. Well, 16 years and 4 kids later, they finally tied the knot! And I’m so glad they decided to stay here in the Northwest to get married. They just brought the Aloha to us.
They chose to get married at Bridal Veil Lakes because it is so lush and green, it reminded them of home. The bride’s Misdress fit the venue right in. For their ceremony Micah’s sister sang a traditional Hawaiian song and presented them with leis for each other. Their ceremony was so sweet and full of joy. I may have shed a tear or two…
After the ceremony they canoed across the lake to their reception full of family, food, hilarious toasts and fire dancing! I feel so lucky to be able to hang out with awesome brides and grooms on one of the most special days of their life!
You can see even more fun with Micah and Teresa here at Edgefield from their family/engagement photoshoot!
